Ballard Power Systems Inc. is Hiring an Engineering Change Coordinator (6 Month Contract) Near Vancouver, WA

Ballard Power Systems is a leading clean-energy company focused on the development and commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell technology. Ballard has a 6-month contract position available for an Engineering Change Coordinator at our Burnaby location within the Configuration Management team.
The Configuration Management team works within the Technology & Product Development department and directly supports engineering and product development activities.
The Engineering Change Coordinator will be assigned to data entry, the processing of Engineering Changes, and performing administrative tasks in the Oracle Agile 9.3.6 PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system. The Engineering Change Coordinator will support the Configuration Management team in meeting program and non-program deliverables.
Responsibilities:
  • Review all submitted Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for accuracy and completeness prior to processing for approval.
  • Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and perform all tasks specified in Ballard’s Change Management Process
  • Support Change Control Board (CCB) and Change Implementation Board (CIB) activities and verify that the documents to be released conform to the implementation plan and control process
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks in Oracle Agile 9.3.6
  • Support updates to Engineering Bill of Materials (eBOMs)
  • Work with Configuration Management Team to minimize the change cycle time
  • Receive direction from Senior Engineering Change Management Analysts in the execution of work
  • Coordinate with Quality Management to ensure engineering document control procedures align with quality control requirements
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Diploma or certificate in document management, product configuration management or equivalent engineering or manufacturing industry expertise
  • Experience with the use of an Engineering Change Control Process applied to aspects of product development, quality, or production in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with entering data into and managing workflows in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask, and troubleshoot
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision
  • Works well with all levels of the organization and is customer-service oriented
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite
  • Strong knowledge of principles of document management
Desirable:
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP system experience
  • Oracle Agile 9.3 PLM system experience
  • CM2 certification an asset
The typical hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000.
